How to use a vape

Vape is a relatively new concept, but it has become increasingly popular in recent years. A vape is a type of electronic cigarette that transforms a liquid (e-liquid) into steam which you can inhale. The e-liquid is available in a variety of flavours, and you can choose whether it should contain nicotine or not. Just like IQOS, vape is a smoke-free alternative. The difference is that IQOS is a heat-not-burn product that uses a HeatControl technology to heat tobacco in a controlled way. This creates a vapour instead of smoke as in regular cigarettes.

Vape and vaping

What is vape and vaping? Vape is an electronic device which transforms an e-liquid into steam. Vaping is when you inhale the steam from the device. A vape consists of three parts: an evaporator, a coil and a part for the battery which is called a mod. The evaporator consists of a tank which you fill with e-liquid. The coil, which consists of cotton, is placed in the tank. The cotton absorbs the liquid and the power from the battery heats up the coil. When the coil gets hot, it evaporates the liquid from the cotton which creates a vapour that you can inhale.

How do I use a vape?

There are many different types of vaping products, but they all work in more or less the same way. You put a liquid with your preferred flavour into the tank. Then you press a button on the vape and inhale vapour from the mouthpiece.

Age limit for vaping

Just like cigarettes and snus, the law about tobacco and similar products applies to vaping. Consequently, you need to be over the age of 18 to buy a vape. Also, you are not allowed to buy a vape or e-liquids for minors.

What is the difference between IQOS and vape?

Both IQOS and vape are electronic devices used to create steam. The main difference is that IQOS heats tobacco in a controlled way instead of evaporating e-liquid. The idea behind IQOS is to offer adult smokers a smoke-free alternative that has the taste of tobacco and the same feeling as a cigarette but without burning the tobacco.

How does IQOS work?

IQOS uses a so-called HeatControl technology, which means that heating blades are warming up the tobacco in a controlled way. When the tobacco is heated up in this fashion, a vapour with tobacco flavour and nicotine is created without any fire, smoke or ash. IQOS is used together with our heatsticks which consist of finely ground and pressed tobacco available in several different flavours.
